Gemini ver 0.3 This version of Gemini now includes some experimental support for installing Lunar over ethernet, using an rsync server. Lunar 1.3 iso has rsync capabilities included now. Boot the Lunar 1.3 iso, mount the cdrom and start rsync in daemon mode. Make sure you view the sample /etc/rsyncd.conf file for where you should be mounting the Lunar iso. If you already have the Lunar 1.3 iso copied to a directory on your network then you may just start the rsync server and make that directory available for Gemini to use in the network install. After the Lunar ISO is made available on your network, boot the desired machine with the Gemini floppies and at the shell prompt run the /usr/sbin/network.install script. Only a few ethernet cards are supported at this time: Tulip, eepro100, realtek, 3c59x, ne2k-pci, sis900. Gemini has the dhcpcd daemon to aid in setting up your box for a network install. If dhcpcd doesn't work for you then you'll need to know how to use the ifconfig, and route commands to get your machine on a network. Some of the bash-isms in network.install (taken from the lunar.install script) may be broken as Gemini only has the ash shell. Please remember this is a work in progress! Terry Chan
